Back in March talk show host Laurie Roth exposed Obama’s connection to some very questionable people. She discussed Allison Davis, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers and Rashid Khalidi. Citizen Well another wordpress.com blogger covered this story some time ago and it is worth a read. I shall re-post for educational reasons only.

According to the Chicagotribune.com dated April 14, 2008 Senator Obama attended a party in 2004, as a guest of Tony Rezko (Syrian born), for a controversial Brit billionaire, , an Iraqi-born tycoonwho presently has some legal problems (fraud) in France. Obama’s reps say Obama does not recall ever meeting Auchi. Remember- Obama never heard any of Rev. Wright’s hot comments and, yet, he disinvited his “uncle” from from Obama’s announcement of his candidacy. The article goes continues on with Obama has had dealings with Rezko since 1990s.  In 2003 Rezko held a fundraiser for Obama. Obama said that he met with Rezko infrequently for diner or lunch, yet, they had  two double dates (Rezko & Obama + spouses).  Going forward Secter wrote, “A published report last year highlighted a small private dinner Rezko hosted in February of that year at Chicago’s Four Seasons Hotel for two bankers from Qatar. Obama, then in the thick of his Democratic primary race for the Senate, took a brief detour from the campaign to pop in on the event.”

Who is Auchi, he is a man who made according to Jack Kelly, over at RealClearPolitics, Auchi made a great deal of his money from arms deals with Saddam Hussein.   Kelly writes, “………..a former Belgian ambassador to banks in Luxembourg owned principally by Mr. Auchi laundered funds — including oil for food money — for Saddam and other Islamic dictators.” In 1987, Auchi helped Italian and French oil firms by paying off Iraqi officials.  In 2003, Auchi was convicted for his part in a major scandal in French history, involving payoffs from top executives of an oil firm to political figures in Spain, Germany and Africa. Kelly writes, “Federal prosecutors allege a $10,000 contribution made by Mr. Rezko to Sen. Obama came from a $250,000 kickback, but there is no evidence Sen. Obama was aware of the source of the funds. Nor is there evidence Sen. Obama did any favors for Mr. Rezko that skirted the law.”  In addition,  in 2005 Obama purchased a house on the south side of Chicago for $1.65 million (300,00 less than the asking price) and Mrs. Rezko purchased an adjacent garden plot for $625,000 on the same day from the same sellar. The London Timesquestioned in an article dated March 5th, 2008  ask where did Mrs. Rezko get the money for the garden plot purchase? Mrs. Rezo held a $37,000/year job and claimed to have only $35,000 in assests at the time of purchase. Mr. Rezo reported at the time to have no income, no liquid assests and negative cash flow according to the Times report. Another interesting twist to the story, prior to the purchase Mr. Auchi gave Rezko a 3.5 million dollar loan.

Moving on le’t talk about William (BIll) Ayers, member of the 1970s Weather Undergroundradical domestic terrorists group that bombed the Capitol, Pentagon and State Department. Dorhn wife of Ayers was also a member of the Weather Underground.  Ayers and Obama sat on the same foundation (Woods Fund) for three years (1999 – 2002) and particiapted in two of the same academic conferences. In addition, it was reported by Bill Smith wrote, “Obama’s connections to Ayers and Dorhn have been noted in some fleeting news coverage in the past. But the visit by Obama to their home — part of a campaign courtship — reflects more extensive interaction than has been previously reported. “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001.

We move on to Raschid Khalidi, a Professor at Columbia University and former Professor of at Chicago University where he befriended Obama according to a report by Larry Johnson. Charles Lipsonwrote in his March 30, 2008 article, “……..Raschid sat on the same board with Ayers and Obama.”  While they were all on the board it is reported that they gave a generous grant to the Arab American Action Network (AAAN). According to Campus Watch, Mr. Khalidi and his wife founded the Arab American Action Network (1995), a group that put out confrontational statements of support for Palestinians. In 2001 and again in 2002, the Woods Fund gave grants of $40,000 and $35,000 to the AAAN. According to Campus Watch, the vice-president of AAAN, Ali Abunimah, recalls Obama speaking in 1999 against “Israeli occupation” at a charity function; and Mr. Abunimah, can recall the Obama’s attending a fundraiser held for Obama (2000) at Rashid Khalidi’s home. Who really is Raschid? Some say he is a PLO activits; some say he was a PLO Officer at one time.
